CmapTools Überblick
Das Programm CmapTools ermöglicht es Benutzern, Wissensmodelle in Form von Concept Maps zu erstellen, darin zu navigieren, sie zu teilen und zu hinterfragen. Neben vielen anderen Funktionen ermöglicht es den Benutzern, ihre Cmaps auf ihrem eigenen Computer zu erstellen, sie auf Servern (CmapServers) überall im Internet zu teilen, ihre Cmaps mit anderen Cmaps auf Servern zu verknüpfen, automatisch Webseiten ihrer Concept Maps auf Servern zu erstellen, ihre Maps synchron (gleichzeitig) mit anderen Benutzern im Internet zu bearbeiten und im Web nach Informationen zu suchen, die für eine Concept Map relevant sind.
Der CmapTools-Client kann von jedem kostenlos genutzt werden, unabhängig davon, ob die Nutzung kommerziell oder nichtkommerziell ist. Insbesondere Schulen und Universitäten werden dazu ermutigt, ihn herunterzuladen und auf beliebig vielen Computern zu installieren, und Schüler sowie Lehrer dürfen Kopien davon anfertigen und zu Hause installieren. (Kommerzielle Unternehmen, die ihren eigenen CmapServer installieren, benötigen eine separate Lizenz für einen CmapTools-Client, der mit der kommerziellen Version des CmapServers kommuniziert).

The reason why CMAP is so good and I am going back to it after trying out "mind mapping" software such as Novamind and other online tools such as mindomo.com is because it is true CONCEPT mapping.
The difference is the ability to write on the arrows and have true links between items in different parts of the map.
Other mind map programs are really a graphical version of a bullet point list and that is why they can be exported to a neat text version. CMAP is more than that.
I "wanted" to use/like novamind but as a teacher I want more links between parts of the map and have useful text on those links.

Inspiration is $69.
For free, I'm willing to overlook a lot of the missing features and shortcomings.
This pretty handy for what it is.
I'm not understanding the other reviews.
